1. Lavender

Lavender is one of the most versatile oils for skincare with soothing and charming properties. I have known it to produce very positive results on all types of skin. Ylang Ylang, also referred to as flower of flowers, is one of my most favorite essential oils. It has a delicate floral scent that keeps you smelling fresh the whole day. Due to its calming action on sebum secretion, you can use it to treat a various skin conditions, especially on irritated, inflamed, congested or oily skin.

6. Tea Tree

Having used Tea Tree, I can say that it is a very active bactericide and disinfectant capable of killing a very broad spectrum of stubborn bacteria as well as fungi such as athlete’s foot, warts and Candida. It is also a mild anesthetic, very soothing to burns and cuts.

7. Ginger

Ginger is a highly robust and warming essential oil. I mostly use it for massages, especially when I need to relieve muscle pains such as muscle spasm and muscle cramps. It is very suitable for back sprains as well as back pains.

8. Lemon

Extracted from lemon fruit, this essential oil is very fresh and has a very sharp fragrance. It has very strong antimicrobial, anti anemic, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. I find it to be very effective in treating insect bites, herpes, mouth ulcers, acne and getting rid of dead cells.

9. Neroli

Neroli is a very calming, rejuvenating and relaxing essential oil with a very sweet floral touch. It has emollient, antiseptic and anti infectious properties, making it very effective in getting rid of stretch marks and repairing damaged capillaries. It can also help you in reducing the emergence varicose veins.

10. Clary Sage

I find Clary Sage to be a very suitable essential oil for treating acne. It has very strong moisturizing properties, enabling it to keep your dry skin hydrated at all times.
